The husband of one of my favorite clients was a top rock ‘n roll DJ back in the 1960s here in Phoenix Metro. He came in for a manicure recently and we had a great time. Norm Seeley has many stories to tell about his days as a rock ‘n roll DJ. I especially enjoyed hearing about the time Lesley Gore, of “It’s My Party and I’ll Cry If I Want To” fame, insisted on riding in Norm’s yellow Corvette instead of the limousine waiting at the airport to take her to the concert venue.

He and several others known as the KRUX “Good Guys” from the 1960s and 1970s will be reminiscing about their history this Saturday at the first-ever KRUX DJ reunion. You can read all about it in the Scottsdale Republic. As you can see from this photo, Norm’s hands look great after receiving my nail goddess treatment.

Talk about great looking hands. That’s how I felt. When asked to talk about my years at KRUX, I almost put the mike down and held up my hands just to show off how great they looked. Back while I worked at KRUX, 1965, 1966, and 1967 I would have a hair cut and manicure once a month. I just might get back in that habit. Thanks Nail Goddess ! !
