There’s an exciting event going on at Applause Salon this week. It’s called Dazzling Smiles and it’s an easy, affordable way to whiten your teeth. Go to their website and check it out then call us to make an appointment! dazzlingsmilesinc.com
The cost is $119 and it takes about 20 minutes. There is no sensitivity and the results are awesome…..4 to 7 shades in just one treatment! I’m doing it for sure!
Call me to book your appointment!
I’d like to thank Lindsay for the opportunity to do pedicures at her sister’s bachelorette party on Saturday. I took a stylist from the salon and we did pedicures for all the ladies. It was held at the Valley Ho and they had a suite with a full kitchen and 2 bedrooms/bathrooms. It was very fancy. Stephany and I arrived at the hotel armed with our supplies and an array of polish choices. (I’m happy to report that most chose sassy dark colors!) The ladies had their pedicures while having snacks and wine. Isn’t that a clever idea? Then they all went to dinner and I’m sure the party lasted well into the wee hours. Steph and I snuck out before it got too crazy!
Keep a “spa party” in mind for future events….it’s a fun alternative to traditional parties…and guest love it, especially if they are all women!
I have some very exciting news to report. Since July 19, I have been on a weight loss program supervised by my doctor. I’m thrilled to say that so far, I have lost 35 pounds. I went for my appointment last Wednesday, and then had the pleasure of doing Dr. Olson Gibbs nails that afternoon. What a gal! She is fun and friendly and extremely down to earth. I am attaching a link to her blog, so you can read about the program. I know it sounds cliche, but if I can do this anyone can. If you would like her contact information, email me and I will send it to you.

Can you believe it is the middle of September already? There are some tourists milling around Old Town and the snow birds are making their return for the winter. Starting in November, there will be a Farmer’s Market every Saturday in the parking lot across the street from Applause. It should bring some excitement!
Got my new OPI fall colors and a delicious lotion called Black Currant & Fig. Even though it’s still hot, it seems like everyone is ready to go a little darker.
If you have winter visitors coming, bring them down to Old Town. There is so much to see and do. And don’t forget to stop in the salon for a fabulous service!
Talk to you all soon!
Wishing everyone a safe and fun Labor Day weekend! Just think how fast the holidays will come now! Scary, huh?
Finally back from vacation and how nice it is to get back into my normal routine. Vacation can be a lot of work! Even though it is still hot, it seems like summer is winding down. Probably because school has started. Once Labor Day is here it will really feel like we’ve made it. The fall colors are out and they are dark and luscious (sorry Karen! We’ll still find some lighter ones for you!). I’ll have OPI and Creative’s new collections this week. Also, Nail Tek has introduced a new line of strengtheners that are 100% formaldehyde free. It’s called CITRA and it has “naturally occurring aldehydes derived from citrus sources that completely replace formaldehyde in this advanced strengthening formulation.” Like Nail Tek and Hydration Therapy, CITRA also has different formulas for the different problems of the natural nail. So if anyone thinks of formaldehyde as the ‘F’ word or has a sensitivity to it, this product is for you. Call me with any questions! And don’t forget to take advantage of my great deal on Arizona Spa Girls, running until the end of the month! arizonaspagirls.com
Hi all! I have been on vacation for just over a week now. In fact, I am writing this from my hometown of Yakima, Wa. We spent a few days in Spokane (where both me and my husband lived) and then drove to Lake Chelan for 4 nights. Now we’ll spend a couple of nights here, drive back to Spokane on Thursday, and then fly home on Friday. It’s been quite the whirlwind. We are enjoying the cooler weather though.
My ad on Arizona Spa Girls will be back up on Aug 10 so make sure to take advantage of this deal! Just mention it when making your appointment. See you back in Phoenix!
My sister is in the Peace Corps and is stationed in Madagascar. She just started a blog to save everyone from mass emails. She only has internet access when she goes to the “banking” city, but that seems to be every three to four weeks. And she also has a cell phone. Isn’t that interesting? No running water or electricity where she lives, but she has cell phone coverage. So if anyone is interested in checking her out, it’s bigredisland.blogspot.com
How’s everyone liking the humidity? So different than what we’re used to, but nice for a change. My skin feels alot better so that’s a plus. Anyway, salon life has been pretty boring. In fact, so boring that I have nothing to write…let alone interesting to write!
Check out my ad on Arizona Spa Girls (arizonaspagirls.com). Look for my deal under “Red Hot Specials”. This is open to all existing clients as well as new clients. And the best part….you can take advantage of it as many times as you want! Their website is also a great source to find any service you are looking for….from laser hair removal to permanent makeup, you name it.
Hope you are all enjoying the summer! See you soon!
I took the Creative Nail Design class on Monday and I’m happy to report that I’m doing everything right! Jan taught us how to customize colors for each client and new filing techniques. It was great. There is another class in mid-August that I also signed up for. It’s hands-on which always makes it more fun.
Hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday weekend! We will be hanging out with the King and Queen of Massage, and then I’ll be back to work on Saturday. Talk to you all soon!
