What a whirlwind the past few months have been! Thanksgiving has come and gone and now Christmas is here. I love this festive time of year and giving gifts. If you need any ideas for your special someone, I’ve got gift certificates and gift baskets with nail care, hand and foot care products ready to wrap.

May you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

On My Own

It’s been over a month now since I moved to my own studio – my how time does fly by. It’s been very busy and I’ve hardly had a chance to take it all in. I love, love, love being in my own place! My studio is just the right size, not too big and not too small.

There are some wonderful colors in my collection of nail polish from Creative Nail Design, OPI, and China Glaze. These colors are just right for fall with rich hues of plums and deep reds along with the trendy chocolates, navies and grays. Of course I have standard pinks, neutrals and corals for those of you who can’t live without them.

One of the great things about having my own studio is the privacy it affords us. When I’m doing your nails or pedicure it’s just the two of us so we can talk all you like or be as quiet as you want. If you come a little early there’s a comfortable sofa in the waiting area that I share with the other studios in our section of the building. My studio is right up front.

Hope to see you soon!

OPI's Touring America

The kids are back in school and it’s time for a Fall state of mind. OPI’s Touring America is here with a variety of murky, moody and warm shades.

One of my favorite clients, Digital Karen, was in today and chose a beautiful deep eggplant shade known as Honk If You Love OPI. We love this creamy dark color on her.

Mini Vacation

It’s the middle of July and I don’t know about you, but I could sure use a get away vacation.  One of my favorite clients came in the other day and we were discussing how nice it would be to go on vacation to the beach.  As I was giving her a pedicure she told me that coming in for her manicures and pedicures felt like a mental vacation to her.  She imagines she’s sitting at a resort hotel somewhere tropical or beachy while I’m providing her nail care services.  What a great idea!  Now all we need is a wave CD playing in the background and a fruity umbrella drink.

Loyalty Card

I love my clients, they are the best ever, and I want to reward their loyalty to me.  Next time you come in be sure to pick up your very own My Nail Goddess Loyalty Card.

Here’s how it works: Receive 10 services and your loyalty will be rewarded with a free regular manicure or half off a pedicure.  (Manicures count as one service and pedicures count as two services.)

Introducing Shellac

I’m so excited to announce that I now provide the amazing Shellac by CND (Creative Nail Design).  Shellac has been featured in Oprah Magazine as well as top fashion magazines.  Shellac is a gel polish that cures, not “dries”, so it’s instant, shiny, glossy and lasts 14 days with no nicks, no chipping, and no smudges.  It’s designed for natural nails only and literally applies as easily as polish with virtually no extra time needed in the process.  Shellac removes easily with no damage to the nail.  Also, there’s no etching of the natural nail prior to the application.  Currently we have 10 awesome colors and French too.  We’ll be adding more colors to our collection soon.

Who is Shellac great for?  Women with natural nails who want a completely chip free, glossy nail polish look that will last 14 days.  When you leave my station you’ll be ready to go with no additional time for drying.

With Shellac you’ll get the look of acrylic nails without all the hassle and only $10 more than a regular manicure.

Don’t Forget Mom

My how time flies!  Mother’s Day is coming up fast and a manicure or pedicure is a great way to treat your mom to something special.  While you’re at it book an appointment for yourself and bring her along for a relaxing pedicure and manicure.

Big Apple Red

Judy's Toes

There is something so luscious about Big Apple Red by OPI that gets me excited and thrilled when my clients ask for it.  These lovely toes belong to Judy of Seattle — a snowbird for two months in Scottsdale and I was fortunate enough to see her twice.  She is so sweet and meeting people like her is what makes my job extra special.  Looking forward to your next visit, Judy!
